HSE Environmental Advisor (Junior/Medior)

We are looking for an HSE Environmental Advisor to join a collaborative and growing environmental team, supporting the development of environmental management systems and sustainability initiatives within a leading infrastructure and energy-focused organisation.

As an HSE Environmental Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting environmental and sustainability objectives across the organisation. A significant focus of this position will be collecting, analysing, and reporting CSRD-related waste and material data, alongside supporting wider environmental management activities.

Working within a close-knit team of environmental specialists, you will have the opportunity to learn, collaborate, and contribute to meaningful sustainability improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, structure, analyse, and report waste and material data for sustainability and CSRD reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal data specialists to validate and process environmental data.
  • Maintain relationships with contractors and stakeholders regarding waste management and material flows.
  • Develop, manage, and update environmental aspects registers in line with ISO 14001 requirements.
  • Support environmental audits and ongoing environmental management system activities.
  • Provide environmental and sustainability guidance to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve waste management practices, material reuse, and circular economy initiatives.
  • Contribute to process improvements, work instructions, and environmental awareness initiatives.
  • Support the delivery of sustainability roadmap activities and environmental objectives.

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Soil Science, or a related environmental discipline.
  • Demonstrable educational background or practical experience within the environmental sector.
  • Junior to mid-level experience within environmental, sustainability, or HSE-related roles.
  • Knowledge of environmental legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Interest in sustainability, circular economy principles, and waste management.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
  • Full driving licence (Category B).

Desirable:

  • Experience working within construction, engineering, infrastructure, utilities, or similar sectors.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 environmental management systems.
  • Experience supporting sustainability reporting or environmental data management.
