Senior Expeditor
In this position, you will be responsible for monitoring the progress of purchase orders after they have been awarded and ensuring that materials, documents, services, and related deliverables are provided on time.
As the central point of contact for delivery progress, you will closely follow up with suppliers, identify risks at an early stage, and take action when planning or delivery commitments are under pressure. Your coordination, clear communication, and problem-solving skills will help prevent delays and ensure that the construction schedule can continue as planned.
You will organize and lead supplier meetings, including kick-off meetings, pre-inspection meetings, and progress meetings. During these meetings, you will review delivery schedules, inspection plans, progress reports, and critical sub-orders. You will make sure that suppliers meet their obligations and that all relevant information is shared clearly with internal project teams.
A key part of your role will involve managing and checking supplier documentation, invoices, bank guarantees, inspection reports, and other quality-related documents. In close cooperation with the Inspection team, you will coordinate inspection visits and support the release of materials for transport to the construction site. You will also ensure that inspection reports and required quality documents are received, reviewed, and approved in time.
By keeping progress data accurate and up to date in the relevant systems, you will create transparency throughout the delivery process. Your work will provide project teams with a clear overview of supplier performance, potential bottlenecks, and upcoming actions.
