Working Student Simulation Center (Leiden, ZH, NL, 2332 AA)
Want to contribute to some of the world's most complex offshore operations while still studying?
Your role in the story
As a Working Student Simulation Engineer, you'll become part of Heerema's Simulation Center, where offshore projects come to life before they are executed at sea. Working alongside experienced simulation engineers, visualization specialists, project teams and offshore operators, you'll help create realistic simulation environments that support safe and efficient offshore operations.
You will play an active role in preparing simulations, building models, and supporting simulation sessions that are used to train crews, validate installation methods, and prepare for challenging offshore campaigns.
What you will be working on
No two projects are the same. One week you might be helping to model a complex lifting operation, while the next you could prepare a simulation exercise for an offshore vessel and its crew. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the development and preparation of offshore simulations;
- Creating and configuring simulation models based on project requirements;
- Working closely with the Visualization Team to integrate and optimize 3D models;T
- Translating input from project engineers and offshore operators into realistic simulation scenarios;
- Assisting in the technical set-up and execution of simulations in the Simulation Center;
- Testing and validating simulation exercises to ensure they meet project objectives;
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of simulation tools and workflows.
You'll have the unique opportunity to see how digital technology supports real-world offshore operations and learn directly from experts in the field.
Is this job for you
