360 Recruitment Consultant (New Business) | Octagon Professionals International

Overview:

Octagon Professionals International is an international HR and workforce solutions company based in The Hague. We support organisations across Europe with Recruitment, Employer of Record (EOR), Payrolling and HR services, helping clients build and manage international workforces.

We are looking for a 360 Recruitment Consultant with a strong commercial drive to join our team. In this role, you will run your own desk end to end: winning new clients in a pre-defined market then delivering the right professionals to them. Your initial focus will be on business development, building a client portfolio across the private sector and EU institutions and agencies. You will work across permanent, contract and secondment placements, with the freedom to shape your own market and the support of an experienced international team.

Role Responsibilities:

Business Development

• Identify and win new clients across the private sector and EU institutions and agencies through outbound calls, LinkedIn outreach, networking and events
• Build and manage a pipeline of prospects, turning conversations into vacancies and signed agreements
• Negotiate terms and fees for permanent, contract and secondment placements
• Represent Octagon at industry events and build your reputation as a trusted partner in your market

Account Management

• Act as the main point of contact for your clients, taking briefs and advising on market rates, talent availability and hiring strategy
• Grow existing accounts by identifying new hiring needs and introducing Octagon's EOR, Payrolling and HR services
• Keep client, candidate and pipeline data up to date in the CRM

Delivery

• Source professionals using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, Boolean search and internal databases
• Screen candidates on skills, motivation and fit, and present strong shortlists to clients
• Manage the process through to offer, including interview coordination, feedback and negotiation
• Build long-term relationships with candidates and contractors, including those on assignment

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of agency recruitment experience, including a 360 or business development focused desk
• Proven track record of winning new clients and growing accounts
• Commercially minded, target driven and comfortable with outbound business development
• Experience in permanent and/or contract recruitment
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and take ownership of your results

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• An existing network or recruitment experience in engineering, aerospace, defence, IT or other technical sectors
• Experience working with EU institutions, agencies or other public-sector clients
• Experience with secondments or contractor management
• Professional working proficiency in Dutch
• Additional European language(s)
• Experience with ATS and CRM systems such as Bullhorn, Salesforce, Broadbean or similar platforms
