Purpose

  • The Project Regulatory Engineer, is a key role within SBM Projects execution worldwide, responsible for ensuring adherence to global regulatory requirements.
  • You provide support and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Group Functions, Engineering, Procurement, Operations, Construction, Commissioning Managers, Class, and external partners to ensure seamless integration and implementation of regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • You serve as the Deputy to the Project Regulatory Manager, supporting the overall regulatory efforts of the project.
  • If shared with the MPF Team for alignment and consistency, you report to the MPF's Regulatory Manager for the Hull scope until delivery.
  • You ensure consistent implementation and interpretation of regulations, with a strong focus on harmonizing regulations across both the MPF and the project.
  • You produce and manage the FPSO Regulatory Matrix, ensuring all relevant regulations are tracked and adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
  • You control the FPSO Regulatory Matrix on SBM’s Action Tracker and assist the project team in expediting late tasks to meet deadlines.
  • You carry out audits of regulatory plans across the locations and PMT activities to verify compliance and ensure proper regulatory management.
  • You review NCR (Non-Conformance Report) evidences provided on regulatory management, issue corrective actions of nonconformity reports, and facilitate the closure of these issues as required.
  • You manage the Regulatory Queries Register, ensuring all queries are tracked and resolved in a timely manner.
  • You act as the focal point for site regulatory queries, providing support and guidance on regulatory matters as needed.
  • You inform project personnel of their regulatory responsibilities, ensuring everyone understands and complies with relevant regulations.

Education

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Naval Engineer.

Experience

  • 6 years experience in the offshore industry.
  • Fluent in English (writing and speaking).
