Do you have an interest in peace and justice and want to play an active role in The Hague’s vibrant international community? Join our team for the Hague Justice Week!

Inspired by the 80th anniversary of the International Court of Justice, this year’s theme is: “Renewing the Promise of Peace and Justice through Law”

From 16-20 November 2026 the THJW will bring together a diverse range of independently organised activities under one shared umbrella. These activities will bring together the local, national and global peace and justice community of The Hague to explore how law, justice, and international cooperation can respond to a changing word and help shape what comes next.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic volunteers to support the participating organisations and help ensure the week runs smoothly. This is a unique opportunity to connect with major local, national and international institutions committed to peace and justice.

What does the role involve?

As a volunteer, you’ll work alongside participating organisations to assist in one or more of the following areas:

• Guest registration
• Providing directions and guidance
• Logistics and set-up support
• General visitor engagement and assistance
• Note taking

Time commitment:

• 1-hour hybrid team meeting during the preceding week
• 1-2 hours per event

Who are you?

• Enthusiastic and proactive
• Comfortable taking initiative and responsibility
• Strong communicator
• Experienced in event coordination (preferred)
• Fluent in English; Dutch is an advantage
• Familiarity with peace and justice organisations in The Hague is a plus
• Genuinely interested in the mission and values of the Hague Justice Week
